This introductory blended learning course to the field of media & well-being offers a wide perspective –\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 covering the time from birth to 21 years of age.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

It is laying out the landscape of a media-conscious education – taking into account different aspects of the topic, bringing together various stakeholders in the children’s developmental journey, inviting all the people who are guiding and accompanying children and young adults on their way.<\/span><\/p>

After having been on a journey together with colleagues from around the world, we now invite you to explore the topic on different levels by working together and collecting experiences yourself, <\/span>
by finding out what others have to say and by developing\u00a0 new ideas in collegial exchange. <\/span><\/p>

Various exercises, <\/span>introduced by colleagues from different fields of expertise, <\/span>invite your active participation. By engaging in artistic activities – using analog and digital media alike – you can generate experiences which will then serve as the basis of\u00a0 a transformational learning process over the course of time. Each of the three meetings takes a different focus on the overall topic of media and well-being, combining personal experience with research results and insights from our practical work – hopefully discovering more questions that need to be tackled in our further work.

Theoretical and practical background knowledge deepens our understanding.<\/span><\/h4>

Through short impulse talks as well as in panel discussions people involved in the different fields of education – educators as well as parents – share their views and perspectives on the topics. A collection of texts invites you to further study the field of media and video interviews and material from pedagogical settings offer examples for practical work. All this material together provides theoretical and practical background information and invites you to deepen your understanding of the topic and add to your personal experience.

Individual research and collegial exchange add to a transformational learning path.<\/span><\/h4>

While talking with participants in smaller groups during the video meetings, you are invited to share your own experiences and views as well as listen to others. Together we can identify questions and formulate research tasks, which can then serve as starting points for small individual\u00a0 research projects around the topic of media in your specific area of activity. Practitioner research projects invite engagement with the topic between online sessions and serve as a connection between the course and your daily life.
