Hi everyone,
My name is Elisa, I’m from Brazil, but I am currently living in Perth, Western Australia. I am working as a German teacher in a beautiful Steiner school in the Perth Hills. I joined this forum in order to get to know colleagues from other parts of the world, and to share experiences and challenges. I would love to talk about the challenges of having only one 45 minute lesson per week, and how to sustain a meaningful and enthusiastic environment for foreign languages. If someone would like to exchange further ideas, please don’t hesitate to contact!
Hello everyone!
I’m very interested in finding colleagues for the community circle. I’m from Dnipro, Ukraine and this is only my second year in teaching English in Waldorf School.
At the moment there are two or three of us, who are planning to meet and discuss online and we would be glad to make our circle wider.
Dear colleagues, I really hope that your community circle meeting will work out and I would be very interested to hear / read about it. Greetings, Ulrike

Hello! My name is Yara Proctor. I’m from California, USA, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I live in Florianopolis, Brazil.
I’m a big fan of all art. I always have an emotional connection with art. My husband introduced me to Ivey Heyes and I really appreciate his work at the moment.
I’m on the road to becoming a Waldorf teacher because it makes sense and I feel emotionally connected to the practice. My children are now attending Waldorf schools and I see the benefits are beyond anything I have ever seen before.
I would like to travel to Japan. It has always been a dream of mine and I hope to one day go.
I loved playing outside and always enjoyed the smell of the trees. I also loved the warmth of the sun. I would sit under the tree and play with the leaves.
Oi, Yara, tudo bem?
I’m Elisa, I’ll speak in English in order not to be impolite, but I’m also Brazilian. I teach German in an Australian primary school. I’d love to exchange ideas about Waldorf education in our country 🙂
Cheers
Elisa
Hello, my name is Erica and live in the UK. I’m a home educator and would like to learn how to teach foreign languages according to the Steiner method. My kids speak Italian as first language, English as second language and are currently learning German, French and Arabic. Arabic is my husband’s language. I already apply a teaching system that incorporates art and creativity in their learning, so the Waldorf concept is very close to our way or learning and living. Two of my girls will join a Steiner school in September.
it is good to know, that there is also the home education in another countries 🙂
My name is Magda Zurawska, I am preparing exams (German as a second language) for kids, which are taught at home. I am interested how this look like in the UK, and teaching stationary in one of Waldorf schools in Cracow, Poland.

Hello, I’m Anastasia and I’ve been teaching English for 11 years. I have two daughters and my elder one, who is 10 now, is a pupil of a Waldorf school. It’s a cozy and friendly family space, so I was heppy to start working there as an English teacher. I got really inspired by those things like storytelling, drawing letters, learning rhymes and organising festivals and showing plays in English with my students. So I’d love to improve my skills to become a better teacher for my students and to know more about Waldorf approach. So here I am! Glad to be in your team!
Best regards,
Anastasia
