I like his discription about the sphere beetween the words and about the feeling in a situation. I think it‘s really important to see, that it‘s normal, that the pupils have a defence against new stuff, when they haven‘t a good feeling with that.
For me it was important to be reminded of being myself. When in front of class, I often (unintentionally) try to behave as (in my opinion) the class needs it. This is maybe not a bad intention, but the truth is, whet not being yourself, you have not the power to lead the class. You not even have the power to resist challenging behaviours and carry on teaching.

Who are you? Are you authentic? Ask your inner judge… always questioning and reflecting. It is very helpful.
