Course Overview
What is youth pedagogy today?
How can Waldorf education help youth who are the first fully digital generation to cope with the challenges of a fast-changing world? And what does this ask from their teachers?
In five online meetings we wanted to explore the possibilities we have in Steiner Waldorf upper schools.
We wanted to investigate together with colleagues from across Europe how we can engage the whole person with the world today through activities across the curriculum.
Our project UPSWE – Upper School, a Place for Self-Development – was creating a space for teachers and students to meet, discuss, get and share ideas and good practice. We aimed to build a European / global network of teachers where participants can zoom out of their daily routines and find new, inspiring ideas for their work.
During our online meetings we were inviting class 11 and 12 students to share their experiences of Steiner Waldorf education, their worldviews and their thoughts on the needs of the curriculum for the future generation. This was an opportunity for pupils to get to know each other and learn from other contexts.
By enrolling in this course you can watch the video recording of the lectures and you also find some additional material.
